Estimate your wallpaper price in seconds — choose the wallpaper type, enter the wall area in sq ft, and add removal of old paper, skim coat or a papered ceiling. Indicative 2026 Klang Valley installed ranges.

Wall width × height in feet, minus large windows. A single feature wall is often around 50–80 sq ft.
Strippable paper peels off dry; vinyl on a paper backing needs soaking and scraping, which costs more.
Wallpaper is quoted per square foot of wall, installed — the rolls plus the labour to hang them — so the calculator multiplies your wall area by the 2026 installed range for the type you choose: basic PVC or vinyl at RM3.50–RM6 per sq ft, non-woven at RM4.50–RM9.50, embossed or textured vinyl at RM5.50–RM11, fabric, grasscloth or natural fibre at RM8–RM20+ and designer or imported paper at RM11–RM30+. Where the published range is open-ended (“+”), the estimate keeps the plus sign.
Three lines are added only when they apply. If there is old paper on the wall, removal adds RM0.50–RM1.50 per sq ft for strippable wallpaper or RM1–RM3 per sq ft for vinyl on a paper backing. A rough wall needs skim coat first at RM1.50–RM4 per sq ft, because every bump shows through the paper. A papered room ceiling adds RM800–RM3,000 per ceiling. For scale, a single feature wall usually lands at RM600–RM2,500 and a full room of four walls at RM2,000–RM8,000+.
The rates come from our wallpaper cost guide’s 2026 tables. The calculator does not add pattern-repeat waste on large-repeat designs, crack repair or repainting of adjacent walls — ask for those as separate lines. | Factor | How it changes your quote |
|---|---|
| Wallpaper type | Vinyl and PVC sit at the budget end; fabric, grasscloth and designer imports cost several times more per sq ft to supply and take longer to hang. |
| Pattern repeat | A large pattern repeat wastes paper at every drop, so a cheaper roll with a big repeat can cost more installed than a dearer plain one. |
| Wall condition | Cracks, rough plaster or damp must be fixed first. Paper hung over a damp wall lifts and grows mould behind it. |
| Old wallpaper | Strippable paper peels off cheaply; vinyl on a paper backing needs soaking and scraping, which roughly doubles the removal cost. |
| Ceilings and cut-ins | Ceilings, sloped walls and many switches or windows slow the installer down. |
| Batch matching | Buy all rolls from one batch. A shortfall ordered later can differ in shade and show as a stripe. |
