How this estimate works

Custom cabinets in the Klang Valley are quoted per foot run — the length of base and wall cabinet, not floor area. The rates here are the same 2026 market ranges documented in our kitchen cabinet cost guide: from RM180–RM300 per ft for melamine to RM400–RM700 per ft for full aluminium, with countertops priced separately per foot run (see the quartz countertop price guide).

How accurate is this cabinet cost calculator?
It multiplies your cabinet length by the 2026 Klang Valley market range for the material you pick, plus a countertop range if you add one. Real quotes add tall units, end panels, cut-outs and site condition - send a sketch or photo on WhatsApp for a fixed per-foot price.
What does 'per foot run' mean?
The running length of cabinet along the wall, measured in feet. Base and wall cabinets are each measured; a 15 ft kitchen with base and wall units is usually quoted as 15 ft base + 15 ft wall.
Why is aluminium more expensive than melamine?
Aluminium frames and powder-coated panels cost more to fabricate but do not swell, rot or attract termites, which matters in wet kitchens. Over ten years the gap narrows because melamine in a wet zone often needs replacing.
Is the countertop included in the cabinet price?
No. Countertops are quoted separately per foot run - laminate at the budget end, quartz and sintered stone at the premium end - and the sink and hob cut-outs are usually charged on top.
