Built-in wardrobes in the Klang Valley are quoted per foot run — the width of wall the wardrobe covers — so the calculator multiplies your width by the 2026 range for the material: melamine at RM180–RM350 per foot, moisture-resistant plywood at RM350–RM550, solid-core HMR at RM450–RM650, premium laminate on MR ply at RM500–RM800 and solid timber at RM700–RM1,200+. Solid timber’s published range is open-ended, so the result keeps the plus sign.
Hardware and finish are the add-ons that change a quote most: a 2-track aluminium sliding door system at RM200–RM500 per door set, soft-close hinges at RM8–RM15 per door, and a painted (PU spray) finish that adds RM200–RM500 per piece compared with a standard laminate finish.
