Estimate what your aircon job should cost before anyone opens the unit — choose the service, enter how many indoor units, then tick any repair a technician has named. Indicative 2026 Klang Valley ranges, shown as a range, never a fake exact figure.

Count the indoor units (the wall units in each room), not the outdoor compressors.
A sealed system does not use up gas — if a technician says it is low, ask where the leak is.
Compressor work is quoted only after inspection, so it adds no number here.
Aircon work in the Klang Valley is priced per indoor unit for servicing and per job for repairs, so the calculator multiplies the service you pick by the number of units, then adds each repair you tick. The 2026 ranges per unit are RM60–RM120 for a regular service (filter clean, coil wipe, drainage check, water test), RM120–RM250 for a chemical wash that deep-cleans the unit in place, and RM200–RM400 for a chemical overhaul, where the indoor unit is taken off the wall, soaked and flushed. The low end of each range is a small, easy-to-reach wall unit; the high end is a larger unit, a harder mounting position or heavy soiling.
Repairs are added only when you tick them, because a fair repair price tracks the part that has failed, not the brand on the front: a diagnostic visit or call-out for a faulty unit is RM120–RM400, a capacitor RM120–RM280, a fan motor RM250–RM600, a refrigerant leak found and repaired RM300–RM800, and a control board repaired or swapped RM300–RM900. A compressor fault has no number here on purpose — it is quoted after inspection, because it is often repair-or-replace territory.
Gas top-ups are RM80–RM200 per unit, but the calculator warns you when you add one: a sealed system does not consume refrigerant, so low gas means a leak somewhere, and a top-up on its own tends to leak away again. The rates come from our aircon servicing cost and aircon repair guides. | Factor | How it changes your quote |
|---|---|
| Service type | A regular service keeps a working unit efficient; a chemical wash is for a unit that smells musty, drips or feels weak; an overhaul is for units neglected for years. |
| Number of units | Servicing several units in one visit is better value than separate call-outs — book the whole home together. |
| Unit type and size | Wall-mounted units are the cheapest to service; ceiling cassettes, ducted systems and bigger units take more labour. |
| Access | Units mounted very high, above kitchen cabinets or on a hard-to-reach outdoor ledge need more setup time. |
| The actual fault | Repair prices follow the failed part. A clean often fixes a “repair” — a warm, dripping unit is usually just clogged. |
| Leaks, not top-ups | Low gas points to a leak. Paying to find and fix it once beats paying for repeated top-ups. |
